You can download the leads data submitted through your instant form as a CSV file from Meta Ads Manager. You can also download your leads from Meta Business Suite, through the Faceboook API or access them through an integrated CRM system.

Downloading leads directly from Ads Manager is best if you created the lead ad from Ads Manager and do not have a CRM system integrated with Meta.

How to download your leads data from Ads Manager

  1. Go to Ads Manager.
  2. Click on the Ads tab.
  3. Select the instant form that you’d like to download leads data from.
  4. In the Results column, click On-Facebook Leads. If you can’t see a link in the Results column, make sure you’re looking in the Ads tab and not the Campaign or Ad Set tabs.
  5. Download leads window will pop up. Click the This month dropdown menu to select the date range of the lead data you’d like to download.
  6. Once you’ve selected the date range, click Download.
  7. A new Download leads window will pop up, showing the ad name, number of leads and the download links. Click either CSV or XLS to download the lead data in your preferred file type.

Note: Lead information is only available on Meta for 90 days, so older leads cannot be downloaded. We recommend you download your leads regularly.

Tips to troubleshoot your CSV file download

If you can’t access the CSV file:

  • Determine whether your Business Manager admin has customized leads access permissions in Leads Access Manager. If no customization has occurred, only Facebook Page admins can download leads. Other page roles won’t be able to download leads. Reach out to your Facebook Page admin for the correct access.
  • Make sure that if your Business Manager admin has customized leads access permissions in Leads Access Manager, you have the proper permissions. Only users assigned access permission can download leads. If Leads Access Manager has been customized, any page role can download leads as long as they have the correct permissions. Reach out to your Business Manager admin for the correct access.
